Run With Purpose is a community helping men overcome mental health issues through running and socialising. Our mission is to create a safe space for men, allowing them to become the very best version of themselves.

So where did it all begin?

In May 2019, we stumbled upon an eye-opening statistic: 75% of the 5,821 recorded suicides in 2017 were male, a percentage that has remained steady since the mid 1990s (U.K). We also realised that a large majority of men in society, including us, find it difficult to express how they feel because of social stigmas. We decided that we would do something to address these challenges.

We combined our shared passion of running and community to create Run With Purpose – a community and safe space for men of all backgrounds and abilities to run and socialise. In June 2019, we held the first run at Alexandra Palace (London, England) where up to 30 men turned up to embark on this mission together, as one.

Since that day, we’ve held runs and socials on a fortnightly basis. The atmosphere and stories we hear during each event prove how necessary this community is for all men.
